Choose flute count and coolant delivery

The range includes metric 3-flute and inch 4-flute configurations. Series 6798 does not have internal coolant; series 6799, 6800 and 6875 do. Check the machine and holder coolant arrangement.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between 6799 and 6800?

Both are metric, 3-flute coolant-through series. Series 6799 uses HA cylindrical shanks; series 6800 uses HB shanks with a Weldon flat. Verify the selected EDP dimensions and grip requirements.

Can I use one set of settings for every operation?

No. The manufacturer cutting data separates slotting, roughing, finishing, ramping and drilling. Read the conditions and material limits for the intended operation; a plunging-capable geometry does not make every material or depth appropriate.

What workpiece materials should I consider?

Manufacturer references cover steel, stainless steel, cast iron and special alloys as primary applications, with aluminum secondary. Use the exact series data and application conditions rather than extrapolating to hardened steel.
