Oemeta Hycut: The Two-Component "Liquid Tool" System

The Oemeta Hycut Series represents a paradigm shift in fluid management. Unlike traditional coolants where oil and additives are pre-mixed, Hycut is a Two-Component System. By separating the high-performance ester oil (Hycut) from the water-miscible surfactant (Additiv), this system allows manufacturers to control lubricity and washing performance independently. German-engineered by Oemeta Chemische Werke GmbH, the system is produced in Salt Lake City, Utah and stocked in US Distribution Centers, bringing the world's most sustainable fluid technology to American industry.

1. Independent Process Control

The Problem: With "Pre-Mixed" coolants, you are stuck with the factory formula. If you need more lubricity for tapping, you have to increase concentration, which wastefully spikes your pH and foam levels. The Hycut Solution: Hycut divorces the ingredients. Need better tool life? Add Hycut Oil. Need better washing or pH control? Add Additiv. You dial in the exact fluid needed for the operation, optimizing consumption and performance simultaneously.

2. Unmatched Tramp Oil Rejection

The Problem: In standard emulsions, hydraulic oil (tramp oil) gets emulsified into the coolant, feeding bacteria and degrading performance. The Hycut Solution: Because Hycut is based on synthetic esters, it creates a stable emulsion that aggressively rejects foreign mineral oils. Tramp oil pops to the surface instantly, where it can be skimmed off, leaving the coolant underneath pristine and bacteria-free for years.

3. The "Infinite Sump" Concept

The Problem: Traditional coolants eventually degrade and must be pumped out and disposed of—a massive environmental and financial cost. The Hycut Solution: Hycut is designed as a Recyclable System. Because the components are stable and tramp oil is easily removed, the fluid rarely (if ever) needs to be dumped. Many Hycut users run the same central system fluid for 5, 10, or even 15 years without a full cleanout.

The Dual-Dosing Strategy

You do not mix Hycut like a normal coolant.

  1. Water + Additiv: First, you treat your water with the Additiv component to create a stable base.
  2. Add Hycut: Then, you add the Hycut Oil (e.g., Hycut ET 46) to reach your desired lubricity percentage.
  • Grinding: 2% – 4% Oil
  • Milling: 5% – 7% Oil
  • Heavy Tapping: 8% – 12% Oil

Is Hycut harder to manage than Unimet?

A: It requires more attention initially to set the ratio, but it is easier to maintain long-term. Because the fluid doesn't degrade or smell, you spend less time troubleshooting "Monday Morning Stink" and cleanouts.

Can I use Hycut as a Straight Oil?

A: Yes. Hycut ET 46 and SW 68 are high-performance ester machining oils in their pure form. You can run them as straight oils in your Swiss Lathes, and then wash the parts in a Hycut Emulsion washer. The oil washed off simply adds concentration to the washer—zero waste.

What metals is Hycut compatible with?

A: Hycut is a true Universal System. Because you control the additive package, it is safe for Aluminum (Aerospace/Automotive), Steel, Cast Iron, and Yellow Metals. It is widely used in large automotive powertrain plants for this versatility.
