The Oemeta Addi-Prox Series is the dedicated line of service additives and boosters designed to restore, adjust, and extend the life of metalworking fluids. While standard coolants are balanced at the factory, the harsh reality of the shop floor—hard water, bacteria, and tramp oil—can throw that balance off. Manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah, Addi-Prox provides the targeted chemical tools to fix these issues tank-side, preventing premature disposal and ensuring your production keeps running.

Why Shops Keep Addi-Prox on the Shelf

The Addi-Prox platform is the "Coolant Hospital." Instead of pumping out a 300-gallon sump because of a minor issue, you can use these hospital-grade additives to bring the fluid back to spec.

1. pH & Corrosion Restoration

The Problem: Over time, biological activity or acidic water can drop your coolant's pH below 8.5. This triggers flash rust on parts and encourages "Monday Morning Stink." The Addi-Prox Solution: Products like Addi-Prox pH Booster allow you to safely raise the alkalinity of the sump back to the stable 9.0+ range. This instantly stops rust and creates an environment where bacteria cannot survive, extending the fluid's life by months.

2. Instant Foam Control

The Problem: High-pressure pumps (1,000 PSI+) or soft water can whip coolant into a bubble bath, causing sensors to trip and machines to shut down. The Addi-Prox Solution: Addi-Prox Defoamers are engineered to be "Tank-Side Stable." What is the difference between Additiv and Addi-Prox?

A: Additiv is a component of the Hycut system (you use it every day). Addi-Prox is a service booster for fixing problems in any coolant (you use it only when needed). Think of Additiv as "Food" and Addi-Prox as "Medicine."

Can I use Addi-Prox to kill bacteria?

A: Some Addi-Prox products are biostable boosters that help inhibit growth by raising pH. However, if you need a registered "Biocide" to kill a heavy fungal infestation, specific regulations apply. Contact our lab for the EPA-registered protocol for your state.

How much Defoamer should I add?

A: Very little. Oemeta defoamers are concentrated. Start with 0.01% to 0.05% (often just a few ounces for a standard sump). Over-dosing defoamer can actually destabilize the coolant, so start small and wait 15 minutes.
