Manufacturer starting parameters

GARR states these are starting parameters only. Optimum conditions may allow higher results. When plunging into solid material, reduce feed by approximately 50%. The guide uses 20% of tool diameter for basic engagement parameters.

Use the actual workpiece, tool diameter, machine rigidity, and setup to establish safe cutting conditions. Graphite requires its separate manufacturer chart.
