Why You Need This
Coolant concentration changes daily due to evaporation (which thickens the mix) and drag-out (which thins it). The only way to maintain a stable 7% mix is to measure it daily.

The "Refractometer Factor"
This device reads in "Brix." To get the absolute concentration, simply multiply the reading by your coolant's refractive factor (e.g., Reading 5.0 x Factor 1.4 = 7.0% Concentration). It is the standard method for all ISO-certified machining facilities.
