Advantages

  • Cobalt Leaching Prevention: Contains active inhibitors that stop the chemical dissolution of the cobalt binder in tungsten carbide tools, preventing "softening" and extending tool life.
  • Ultra-Low Viscosity (4 mm²/s): The extremely thin 4 mm²/s (at 40°C) kinematic viscosity ensures maximum flushing and heat dissipation, critical for high-speed grinding and honing where tighter clearances are standard.
  • Advanced GTL Technology: Synthesized from natural gas to be virtually free of aromatics and nitrogen, resulting in a cleaner, clearer fluid with higher stability than mineral oils.
  • Low Evaporation (Noack): Features an improved Noack volatility profile (9.5% at 150°C), significantly reducing oil mist and consumption compared to standard mineral grinding oils.
  • Broad Material Compatibility: While optimized for carbide, it is also highly effective on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and yellow metals, making it a versatile "one-oil" solution for mixed-production shops.
  • Operator Safety: Free of heavy metals, zinc, chlorine, and bactericides, ensuring a safer workplace with reduced skin irritation risks.

Technical Overview

The Carbide Specialist
Oemeta OEMETOL 705 HM addresses the critical failure mode of carbide grinding: cobalt leaching. When standard oils are used on carbide, the cobalt binder can dissolve into the fluid, turning it pink/red and weakening the tool structure. 705 HM creates a chemical barrier that locks the cobalt in place.

GTL Safety Advantage
Despite its water-like viscosity (4 cSt), the Gas-to-Liquid base oil provides a remarkably high flash point (144°C / 291°F). This is significantly higher than comparable mineral oils, providing a critical safety margin against fire during high-pressure deep-hole drilling or high-speed grinding operations.
