Advantages

Cobalt Leaching Prevention
Contains active inhibitors designed to help reduce dissolution of the cobalt binder in tungsten carbide tools, supporting longer tool life and more consistent grinding performance.

Ultra-Low Viscosity
The 4 mm²/s kinematic viscosity at 40°C supports fast flushing and heat dissipation in high-speed grinding and honing applications with tight clearances.

Advanced GTL Technology
Synthesized from natural gas for a highly refined fluid with low aromatic and nitrogen content, supporting cleaner appearance and strong fluid stability.

Low Evaporation
Features a Noack volatility of 9.5% at 150°C, helping reduce oil mist and fluid consumption compared with conventional mineral grinding oils.

Broad Material Compatibility
Optimized for carbide while also suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and yellow metals in mixed-production environments.

Operator Safety
Free of heavy metals, zinc, chlorine, and bactericides for a cleaner chemistry profile and improved workplace compatibility.

Technical Overview

The Carbide Specialist
Oemeta OEMETOL 705 HM addresses the critical failure mode of carbide grinding: cobalt leaching. When standard oils are used on carbide, the cobalt binder can dissolve into the fluid, turning it pink/red and weakening the tool structure. 705 HM creates a chemical barrier that locks the cobalt in place.

GTL Safety Advantage
Despite its water-like viscosity (4 cSt), the Gas-to-Liquid base oil provides a remarkably high flash point (144°C / 291°F). This is significantly higher than comparable mineral oils, providing a critical safety margin against fire during high-pressure deep-hole drilling or high-speed grinding operations.
