Oemeta Metalworking Fluids for U.S. Manufacturers

Oemeta has specialized in metalworking fluids for more than a century. Its portfolio includes water-miscible coolants, two-component fluid systems, oil-free fluids, cutting and grinding oils, control additives, and industrial cleaners for machining metal, glass, and ceramics.

Tech Tool is an authorized U.S. distributor of Oemeta products. This collection brings current Oemeta product listings, package sizes, pricing, availability, and supporting documentation into one place for U.S. manufacturers. Products may be purchased online where available, or our team can help identify the appropriate sourcing and technical-support path for a specific application.

Fluid selection should always be based on the individual product specification rather than the family name alone. Materials, operations, water quality, machine design, filtration, pressure, concentration, and maintenance practices can all affect performance.

Explore Oemeta Product Families

Oemeta organizes its metalworking-fluid portfolio into product families developed for different process requirements. Use these links to compare the products currently available through Tech Tool.

HYCUT Two-Component Fluid Systems

HYCUT separates the lubricating component from the water-miscible additive package. This two-component approach allows an approved system to be adjusted for the material and operation rather than relying on a fixed, pre-blended formulation. HYCUT products must be paired and maintained according to the applicable Oemeta technical instructions.

NOVAMET Water-Miscible Metalworking Fluids

NOVAMET includes water-miscible fluids developed for a range of machining materials and operations. Depending on the formulation, products may support mixed-metal production, demanding alloys, clean-running performance, or particular regulatory and formulation requirements. Confirm material compatibility and product characteristics using the individual product page and current technical data sheet.

UNIMET Water-Miscible Coolants

UNIMET products cover general and application-specific machining requirements, including selected formulations for ferrous materials and mixed production. Product chemistry and recommended use vary, so operating concentration, water requirements, and material compatibility should be confirmed before a trial or changeover.

FRIGOMET Oil-Free Fluids

FRIGOMET includes oil-free metalworking fluids used in selected grinding and machining applications where cooling, flushing behavior, cleanliness, or visibility may be important. Choose the individual formulation according to the processed material, operation, machine, and required surface condition.

OEMETOL Cutting and Grinding Oils

OEMETOL products are non-water-miscible cutting and grinding oils available in different viscosities and additive packages. Selection depends on the operation, material, machine design, fire-safety requirements, filtration, and the desired finish or tool-life objective.

ADDITIV System Components

Oemeta ADDITIV products are matched components used with designated fluid systems, including HYCUT applications. They are not interchangeable general-purpose additives. Use only the component, ratio, and operating range specified for the approved system.

ADDI-PROX Control Additives

ADDI-PROX products provide targeted process correction or maintenance support for specified conditions. The appropriate product and dosage depend on the fluid, system condition, water chemistry, and cause of the problem. Confirm the treatment with current technical guidance before adding corrective chemistry to a sump.

Oemeta Industrial Cleaners

Oemeta cleaners support selected machine, system, and component-cleaning applications. Cleaning requirements differ between routine maintenance, fluid conversion, and remediation of a contaminated system. Follow the product instructions for concentration, contact time, compatibility, rinsing, and disposal.

How to Select an Oemeta Metalworking Fluid

The right starting point is the manufacturing process, not a general marketing claim. Before selecting a product, document the conditions the fluid must manage:

  • Materials: Identify every alloy that may contact the fluid, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel alloys, copper alloys, glass, ceramics, and mixed-metal production.
  • Operations: Specify whether the process involves turning, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, broaching, honing, grinding, deep-hole drilling, forming, or minimum-quantity lubrication.
  • Machine and delivery system: Record sump volume, filtration, pump pressure, aeration, nozzle design, tramp-oil exposure, and whether the fluid serves one machine or a central system.
  • Water quality: Water hardness, conductivity, chlorides, temperature, and microbial loading can materially affect a water-miscible fluid.
  • Operating priorities: Define the required balance among lubricity, cooling, foam control, residue, corrosion protection, machine cleanliness, tool life, surface finish, and fluid service life.
  • Documentation: Review the current safety data sheet, technical data, customer approvals, and facility-specific environmental or occupational requirements.

Do not assume every Oemeta product is suitable for every material or that every formulation has the same boron, formaldehyde, bactericide, mineral-oil, or additive profile. These characteristics are product-specific and should be verified using current documentation.

Trials, Changeovers, and Fluid Maintenance

A fluid trial should have a defined baseline and measurable success criteria. Useful measures can include concentration, pH, water quality, tool consumption, surface finish, corrosion, foam, residue, makeup rate, downtime, and disposal frequency. Comparing documented results is more reliable than relying on a single observation at startup.

Before changing products, evaluate the condition of the machine, lines, tank, filtration, and existing fluid. Residual chemistry and contamination can affect a new charge. Do not mix coolants, oils, cleaners, biocides, or control additives unless the combination and procedure have been approved for the application. Follow the applicable Oemeta instructions and your facility’s safety and disposal procedures.

After startup, maintain the fluid within its specified operating range. Consistent mixing, concentration control, tramp-oil removal, filtration, makeup practices, and recordkeeping are essential to evaluating the fluid fairly and maintaining a stable process.

Why Buy Oemeta Through Tech Tool?

Tech Tool supports manufacturers that need more than a product name. Our online catalog helps buyers compare currently listed products and package sizes, while our team can assist with product identification, quotations, purchase orders, account support, and documentation requests.

For application assistance, provide the material, machine, operation, current fluid, water conditions, sump size, operating concentration, and the problem or result you are trying to address. Better inputs produce a more useful recommendation and a more disciplined trial plan.

Common Oemeta Purchasing Questions

Is Tech Tool the manufacturer of Oemeta products?

No. Tech Tool is an independently owned authorized U.S. distributor. Oemeta Chemische Werke GmbH is the manufacturer and owner of the Oemeta trademark.

Which Oemeta coolant is right for my machine?

The answer depends on the complete application. Material and operation are the starting points, but water quality, machine design, filtration, operating pressure, contamination, and process objectives also matter. Send those details to Tech Tool for product-specific assistance.

Can I mix an Oemeta product with my current coolant?

Do not mix products without confirming compatibility and an approved procedure. A machine and system review may indicate that cleaning, flushing, or other preparation is required before a changeover.

Are all Oemeta fluids made in the United States?

Country of origin and manufacturing information should be confirmed for the individual product. Contact Tech Tool if product-specific origin documentation is required for purchasing or compliance.

Where can I find official manufacturer information?

For Oemeta corporate information, international locations, and the manufacturer’s global product resources, visit the official Oemeta website.
